StepHow Inc. (CEO Seongwook Jasper Hwang) announced that it will participate in the upcoming Startup Mahakumbh 2025 exhibition, to be held from April 3 to 5 in New Delhi, India.

Founded in 2024, StepHow is a rapidly growing startup co-founded by former investment analyst and serial entrepreneur Seongwook Hwang, KAIST graduate and IT service expert Junho Choi (CPO), and full-stack developer Ji-hyung Cha (CTO). The company was established to solve the issue of knowledge evaporation in the workplace and has already raised 610 million KRW in funding while securing enterprise and public sector clients.

The company’s flagship product, StepHow, is an AI-powered Smart Knowledge Management System (KMS) that transforms user actions—clicks, typing, dragging—into comprehensive manual documents in 30 seconds. KMS, short for Knowledge Management System, is a tool that houses internal company knowledge such as work processes, manuals, policies, guidelines, and FAQs. StepHow addresses the problem of unstructured and inaccessible organizational knowledge that often remains undocumented and scattered.

StepHow offers three key features: ease of document creation, ease of document management, and ease of knowledge retrieval. As a SaaS service, StepHow also supports on-premise and private cloud deployment for large enterprises and public institutions, enabling the seamless conversion of tacit knowledge into usable organizational assets.

Over 100 companies—including Olive Young, CJ CheilJedang, Class 101, ECube Labs, MeatBox, Onuii, and multiple law, tax, and customs firms—use StepHow via SaaS subscription. Larger enterprises such as DB HiTek, BGF Retail, and Dong Suh Foods are implementing the platform company-wide through on-premise or private cloud models.

StepHow has also established a U.S. subsidiary and released Japanese and English versions of its platform. The company is expanding across APAC regions such as Singapore, India, and Japan. It plans to further expand into the U.S. and Europe as a global KMS and enterprise wiki platform.

At Startup Mahakumbh 2025, StepHow will introduce its productivity SaaS solution, designed to easily create and share work manuals using its unique click-based workflow capture technology. Beyond simple manual generation, StepHow enables comprehensive structuring of internal knowledge like policies, workflows, project documentation, and FAQs through its ‘Process’ function. In contrast, its AI Assist function automates complex document creation.

With its rapid digital transformation and growing SaaS demand, India is considered a strategic global market, particularly for IT services, startups, large corporations, and public institutions seeking document automation and knowledge management solutions. Through this exhibition, StepHow aims to assess product-market fit in India, form new partnerships, and establish groundwork for market entry.

The company plans to use the event to explore B2B partnerships, meet investors and buyers, and boost brand recognition as a global SaaS solution provider. StepHow emphasizes that its platform addresses the structural limitations of existing KMS and wiki systems, which often suffer from complex interfaces, low adoption, and outdated information.

Unlike traditional systems that require manual document input, StepHow automatically captures and converts user actions into documentation, significantly improving the speed and accuracy of internal documentation. Its collaborative features include real-time co-editing, automatic version control, and user access management, ensuring all members stay up-to-date with easily shareable documents.

Documents are stored in a centralized structure for enhanced searchability and accessibility. They can be exported in formats like PDF, PPT, web links, and embedded widgets, allowing seamless internal and external communication.

As Korea’s only AI-based KMS specialized in internal knowledge documentation, StepHow offers flexible deployment options, including SaaS, on-premise, and private cloud models. The company is also developing an AI RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation) feature for real-time knowledge-based Q&A and an AI agent that analyzes users’ screens to offer contextual work guidance—further evolving StepHow into an intelligent assistant for workplace efficiency.

Startup Mahakumbh 2025 is hosted by the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce & Industry (FICCI). In its second edition, the exhibition attracted 48,000 visitors and 1,300 exhibitors last year, including Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi. This year, under the theme “BIGGER, BETTER, BOLDER,” the event will expand to host over 3,000 startups and 50,000 attendees. It will feature 12 key sectors: AI, cybersecurity, biotech, health tech, agriculture, and climate.
